Fairy Series Questions

Fairy Series
Is there any swearing in “The Fairy Path” Series?

The Fairy Path Series byFrewin Jones. Is There Any swearing in it? please help! thanks for any answers given! :]

well, the Faerie Path series is based in London when it is in the mortal world, and i am american, but i am currently reading the fifth book and have not noticed any swearing. the Faerie people are too dignified to swear, and if there is any swearing in London, it was not bad enough to stand out to me. I have been known to return a book to a store if i am not happy with the language/content it contains, so i understand your concern. the book should be fine for anyone over the age of 10 or 12, really.

1997 World Series of Poker

The World Series of Poker had been growing for years and things just continued to escalate into the 1990′s. The grand prize for the event had steadily grown until there was a million dollar prize available to the winner of the World Series of Poker.

The events over the last decade had been exciting and the popularity of the sport had grown tremendously. The results of the event were now starting to influence more people to play the sport in their own lives rather than just following the professionals.

The 1997 World Series of Poker was an exciting one and perhaps one of the best remembered events in the history of the World Series of Poker. The reason why it is so widely remembered is because of the change of venue. The event had of course been held in Binion’s Horseshoe Casino since its conception, but this year it had moved on. The event was going to take place in the Fremont Street Experience. This change of location really riled up some people. They thought that the change of location would cause the spirit of the event to change.

In the end, it seems that the players were unaffected .They were less motivated by the feel good story of being in the traditional location and more focused on trying to win the money. The event featured 300 players in 1997 and there was certainly one name that stood out.

Poker legend Stu Ungar was back in action. He is known as a former World Series of Poker champion, but fell from glory to the grasps of addiction. His return was followed and anticipated by many fans of the event.

The story was a big one and Ungar seemed poised to make his story have a fairy tale ending. He blazed through his opponents in the early rounds and kept winning. He looked as if he hadn’t taken any time off at all as he disposed of his opponents. In the end he would find himself at the final table squared off against Strzemp. These two players had an epic battle that came down to a gutsy move from Ungar. Ungar raised 40 thousand dollars, which was called by Strzemp. Strzemp proceeded to raise another 120 thousand dollars. Ungar saw that this was his time to make a move and decided to bet all of his chips. As he did so the tension in the room was at an all time high. These two players would have to wait and see if their gamble was worth it.

As all of the cards were exposed it was clear that Ungar had the advantage. He would become the 1997 World Series of Poker champion after his absence from the game that lasted more than a decade. This remarkable finish and story made 1997 one of the best years of all time for the World Series of Poker. Stu Ungar will forever be remembered for his heroic play after overcoming the chains of addiction that bound him for so long.
