I have been to many churches and sometimes the most essential teaching of the Christian faith is not available. The most basic stuff of Christianity is not expounded by pastors. This led me to think that most of the pastors themselves do not understand the meaning of faith. Is faith simply to believe without experiencing God? Then this is not faith but a blind following of what is being told to us. Such kind of belief does not put us on the rock, so when the storm comes we all fall apart. The storms of life are many, a crippling accident, a premature lost of a spouse, a loved one, a lost of a business, a job, sudden health problems that cause us to lose our normal routine, an earthquake that destroy an entire city, an act of terrorism that killed many innocent people. The storm will devastate your life make no mistake about the impact of a storm, it is never the same after the storm.
When Abraham was called righteous because he believed in God, it was not blind faith by just following someone who told him. God himself spoke to Abraham and he believed it was God who speaks to him. When God speaks to a person, it has the creative power of ensuring the fulfillment of a destiny as it will touch the person’s heart and cause him to turn and move with the leading. When Jacob believed in God, he had a dream from the Lord of angels moving up and down the ladder to heaven. And when Joseph believed in God, he had two dreams from God telling him that he will be exalted above his brothers, father and mother. And again, Moses heard from God, he saw the burning bush and he had the experience of hearing from God directly as to what he was sent to do. Then again, when Saul became Paul and started to preach for Jesus, he had a Damascus experience of seeing a bright light and hearing the voice of Jesus speaking to him.
God also sent men to anoint or prophesy over a person to give him a covenant, a mission in life, if that person is called by God. God sent Samuel to anoint David, and he became king of Israel. God also spoke to Solomon in a dream and bestow wisdom upon him and made him king. But when God promotes you, there will be opposition from the natural realm, yet despite all of these obstacles, God can still position you for success as no men can go against the will of God. When Miriam and Aaron tried to usurp Moses power, God intervene and caused Miriam to be leprous as a warning to them with respect to the sovereignty of God.
Without this direct or indirect message from God to you, there is no covenant, this is the truth. Unless God speaks to you, there is no covenant and God will not be responsible for your actions if he has not ordained you for the job. This matter pertains to the leadership which God has placed over your stations in life. The truth is, if you can overcome all these tests, God will promote you to a better place in life and set you above the rest by his protection. So faith without contact with God is blind faith, an imagination of what God will do for us is very dangerous. It becomes an illusion and that can become a lie leading to our own destruction. I have seen many people who claimed that God has anointed them, called him to do this or to do that. Yet, I have not seen the training of God in their life which usually accompanies such calling. These people ran with their message, but have no roots then they fall away. Time will show and tell the truth if there is a calling, because always after the training and testing comes the promotion. The rainbow will show after the rain most of the time.
The laws and ways of God are written into a person’s heart. It is not read and kept in our minds, never is and never will be. Only when we do things from our heart, then can it be shown in our actions, between true caring and sharing as opposed to synthetic charismatic prayers with powerful but not God-ordained words. Words spoken through real servants and godly people can produce the real effect of a change. Isaiah said a word in season nourishes and sustains the weary soul. The word from God will never return back void and empty but will produce that which it was sent. Because the word of God has its intended purpose to bless or to curse, as it has the creative power. So when anyone received a true word which is from God, it will surely manifest the results. But if the word was spoken irresponsibly than God has no obligation to fulfill the word spoken even if the person speaking it is a pastor. It will not happen as God was not the one who sent the word. Simply because God is a being who always honors his words that is why it can not fall to the ground, it will produce whatever it says it will do. This is the absolute truth; mark these words well and clear. If the word is not from God, he will never honor it regardless of whether it sounds biblical or not, it shall not be.
Then many blame God for not being true. This is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit since the word is of man and not of God. So the man spoke presumptuously on behalf of God which God did not send. Such a man is not to be trusted since he was not authorized to speak on God’s behalf. False blessings is worst than no blessings because it will trap the receiver and prevent them from seeking a true solution to their problems. They may lose all they have because of this false prophecy which is not of God. So it will be wise to first ask God for a confirmation before you do anything drastic. Sometimes we have to wait for an answer, sometimes when we wait too long we lose more, so between waiting or not it depends on which is the true word from God. Here, you will need discernment, and without the Holy Spirit you can never discern the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that is why it will always show you the truth. And not many have the Holy Spirit in them, yet they think they do, and this is the saddest truth I have ever come across in my life.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
When I was seeking God to close down my shop which I owned for 2 years, I approached 3 men of God, two prophets and one preacher. One prophet told me that change is coming and God will cause change to come, the other said that God will send me an investor to invest in my shop; another told me of his own personal experience that he had to close down two of his retail shop before he became a pastor. So now, I have 3 different sets of words, can this be from God? How can these men of God say they speak for God when their answers are so different? So I had to get a final word from God, then I went to the beach and saw this banner which says “Please stay on the track and do not deviate” the track of my book shop is closure as the business has dwindled down to almost one third of its original daily sales. And bear in mind this is a Christian book shop which I bought upon seeking God.
So unless you seek God with your heart, you can be very disappointed when men of God speak presumptuously on his behalf, yet they do not know that life and death hangs on every word they speak, as actions and consequences will follow. But I was very fortunate that I read the bible during that time of testing and saw this verse,
2 Corinthians 13:1
“Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
So I knew I had to seek two to three confirmations before I decide which was the right way to go. And if you are seeking for such kind of directions, make sure the source is a good spring of living water; else it can produce death instead. When you seek God for such important and big decision, don’t be in a rush or hurry even when the situation is very pressing, don’t give in to fantasy, myth and fairy tales, they can destroy you. God will give you grace to come to the right decision in due time, and yes, there will be sufficient time even when a deadline is called. All you have to do is asked and you shall be given.
Imaginary faith without any experience with God is very dangerous; it’s like driving with our eyes closed and expecting not to have an accident because God is watching. God still respect our free will and he also wants us to learn from our mistakes. If God were to stop all our accidents than in this world people will have nothing to fear, they can do whatever they want and there be no consequences since the angels will take care of all of us, but this is not the case. So we better learn to understand how the Almighty God operates in this world, else we may be very disappointed when we assume what God will do or not on our behalf. This is the main reason why I said many times that we can not confess and expect something to work for us just because we speak the word. As we are not ordained by God to do so and its better to try some simple experiment to check if these pastors are speaking the truth before we try to use it when a crisis of life death proportion happens.
God has shown me things in my dreams and they have all came to pass, and he has also shown me things in the natural and they have also all been manifested. So I know unless he speaks to you, there shall be no covenant and so there shall be no manifestation of his protection and blessings. If we walk a narrow path, it means it’s not an easy casual walk since the road is narrow and any deviation will not bring us to God, his way is a narrow one. Anyone who has experienced God’s call on their lives will tell you similar stories since the way is narrow. But not many can tell you such stories as many don’t know God intimately and many imagine that God speaks to them. God speaks to us and it’s not an illusion, it’s a real thing. If you never heard from God, than it’s a sad thing as you have no real relationship with God. This is the Truth and the truth will offend. God is real and he is alive and yes, he speaks to his sheep and they listen to his voice.
Only his Sheep Hears His Voice, those who do not hear from God are not his sheep. This is the truth and it will offend you since it is truth. Truth is like a shining bright light and those who love darkness will not want to come into this light. Light will shine and expose those hidden things in the dark and that in itself is not what people want.
John 8:47
He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
They know its wrong to be in the dark yet they are ashamed of their secret sins. So they will not walk into the light until the dark sins start to corrode their life and they begin to lose what little that they try to save. Yet it is not men that we should fear but God who sees everything that we do in the dark and nothing is hidden from his sight. Yet men feared men more than they fear God, so they are being deceived by the devil.
